Although the number of wine enthusiasts is growing, oenophilia remains a closed enclave. The Clo concept is a user-centered and social-learning wine experience. Using an automated pouring technology, an interactive touchscreen table surface and a retail website, Clo is one of the first bars to merge technology with connoisseurship.
We were involved in each stage of development: naming, identity, branding and a full retail packaging system. We designed and oversaw the build out of the architectural space at the Time Warner Center. We also prototyped and developed the interactive table surface linked to the website. By enabling experimentation and dialogue in the world of wine retail and consumption, Clo has introduced a new model for people to discover, select, and purchase wine.
