In May of 2007 we designed the environment for the Beaux Arts Ball, the storied event hosted every year by The Architectural League of New York. Exploring the Ball's theme of "Smoke and Mirrors," we designed a series of excursions into dematerialized and dynamic space. One relaxation space was wrapped in foil and included gigantic bean bags and pillows, which were illuminated from a gigantic floating "moon" light on the street outside. Another space emanated fog and beams of focused light to create an otherworldly atmosphere. A large dance space was activated by dynamically generated large-scale animations that morphed to the frequencies of the music.
