Multifesto: A communal design manifesto is on view at the Image of the Studio: A Portrait of New York City Graphic Design exhibition in The Herb Lubalin Study Center at the 41 Cooper Gallery until Oct 26. Co-curated by Alexander Tochilovsky and Athletics, Image of the Studio, features an original work and portrait from over 75 graphic design studios in New York City. Through data visualizations and infographics the exhibition draws connections between the studios and explores how they are all inextricably tied to the city.
About Multifesto
Multifesto is comprised of three-word design manifestos contributed by designers from diverse aesthetic, disciplinary, and geographic backgrounds. Using a simple mad-libs format — verb + preposition + noun — the Multifesto frames design as verb: an active engagement with the world around us.
