Digital

The digital team at 2x4 has an opening for an intern starting immediately. Interns work as a member of the digital team, alongside directors and other team members, to conceive, create, and present ideas. Clients range from fashion brands to museums and cultural institutions. At 2x4, internships prioritize learning and the acquisition of real-world experience. Generally, interns have completed undergraduate study in graphic design or are working on their MFA. Relevant experience in the discipline is preferred but not required.

This is a 12-week, paid, full-time in-person internship. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants should be in the New York area for the duration of the internship.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Work with Design Director and project team to support the team’s work on a wide range of projects
  • Strategize, conceive, create, present and produce design ideas related to specific projects and clients
  • Develop expertise in studio software platforms
  • Learn the 2x4 design process to produce flexible, creative solutions
  • Realize projects with both the highest level of creativity and respect for clients’ needs, schedule and budget

Qualifications:

  • A recent college graduate, current 3rd/4th year student in an undergraduate program, OR current student in a graduate program of a relevant field
  • Demonstrated interest and ability in typography, graphic design, and design for digital media
  • Can-do attitude, eager to jump into problems big or small
  • Strong visual sensibility
  • Interest and/or experience in design, arts, & culture
  • Creative coding experience, strong writing skills, or relevant experience in the field are a plus but not required

The Intern stipend is $800 per week.
