The Boat is Leaking. The Captain Lied.

"The Boat is Leaking. The Captain Lied.", an exhibition at Fondazione Prada, brought together the varied work of three artists: writer and filmmaker Alexander Kluge, stage and costume designer Anna Viebrock, and sculptor and photographer Thomas Demand. 2x4 worked closely with the curator, Udo Kittelmann, to design two volumes accompanying the exhibition: a republished edition of Kluge's book Kong's Finest Hour (including a new photo essay by Viebrock) and the exhibition catalogue that compiled photos, essays, and poetry together in a magazine-type format. These volumes were, in turn, presented together in custom-made, two-sided cardboard packaging. Bound with elastic, the set reflects with the spirit of the exhibition: a seamless yet inspiring coming-together of different artists, media, and ideas.
