2x4 collaborated with Rockwell Group on a bold visual identity for Cork Collective, a design and hospitality partnership with the world’s largest cork producer, Corticeira Amorim, dedicated to harnessing the power of recycling and reuse. Gathering the cork from American restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality venues, Cork Collective repurposes the versatile material into innovative design applications including playground revitalizations and other sustainable community enhancements.
The logo draws upon the material’s versatility and potential for reinvention, featuring the Quercus suber tree, the primary source of cork. The result is a clean, iconic identifier and design system to broadcast the initiative and connect participants across diverse industries from design and hospitality, to government.
