Taikang Art Museum is a beacon of contemporary art in Beijing. Born from the rich legacy of Taikang Space, it houses a diverse collection dating back to 1840, featuring ‘Red Art’ from the Maoist era and cutting-edge works by emerging artists.
2x4 Beijing developed the museum’s strategy, identity, and design system, featuring an archival-inspired logo ‘TAM,’ representing ‘TA Men’ or ‘Them’ — welcoming all audiences. Drawing upon TAM’s distinctive blend of systematic, historical, and academic characteristics, 2x4 Beijing also designed the key visuals and environmental graphics for the museum’s inaugural exhibit: “Engaging with the World: Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art since the Dawn of the 20th Century.”
