Tales & Tellers

Miu Miu Tales & Tellers is conceived by interdisciplinary artist Goshka Macuga and convened by Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona. The project took place in fall 2024, staged at the Palais d’léna in Paris as part of Art Basel Paris’ Public Program. Taking Miu Miu’s long-standing interest in collaborating across the spectrum of filmmaking, art, and fashion as a point of departure, Tales & Tellers draws together a myriad of narratives exploring ever-transforming ideas of the plurality of femininity. Every artistic intervention from previous Miu Miu fashion shows and each film from the Miu Miu Women’s Tales series is represented by a character directly extracted from the collaborations, reenacted by real-life actors following movement direction by Goshka Macuga and theater and opera director Fabio Cherstich.

We worked with our longtime collaborator Goshka, Elvira, and the indomitable team at Miu Miu on all brand elements, naming, advertising, exhibition graphics, as well as the texts, catalogue, and the development of The T*******s T***s: our newspaper from the near future.
