“Recycle Stripes,” a wallpaper designed for Maharam’s Digital Projects created with bits of discarded trash that make a vivid ombré pattern is featured in The Next Wave Exhibition: Industrial Design Innovation in the 21st Century in Washington, DC. The exhibition, curated by Douglas Burton, is the cornerstone of the Washington DC International Festival, a three-month multidisciplinary design celebration presented by Apartment Zero and Artisphere from February 21st through May 19th. Exploring the innovation of product design from the last 13 years the exhibition features over 100 objects covering areas of lighting, tabletop, furniture, textile, product, electronics, housewares, tools and interactive design.
