New York City based artist, Mel Bochner, one of the pioneers of Conceptual art in America, has been producing text-based works for over 40 years. Monoprints: words, words, words, designed by 2x4, is the first book solely devoted to this artist’s extensive body of large-scale, printed works done in collaboration with Two Palms studio using their industrial hydraulic press. This book is illustrated with 34 full-color reproductions and includes an essay by art critic, Barry Schwabsky and an interview by Schwabsky with Bochner, discussing the evolution of the art form that has been an integral part of his career as an artist.
