Produced in collaboration with Miuccia Prada, curator Dieter Roelstraete, and the Fondazione Prada team, “Everybody Talks About the Weather” is an exhibition for the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale that explores the shifts in semantics of weather throughout cultural history as one possible way of addressing the cataclysmic challenge of climate change.
We designed the overall exhibition and extensive information system throughout, including two research stations carrying essential texts, documents and scientific interviews along with an immersive digital entry wall streaming a diverse array of global weather reports. The exhibition design superimposes a layer of data – comprising detailed maps, charts, diagrams, and extended captions, developed in conjunction with The New Institute Center for Environmental studies (NICHE) at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice – onto an exhibition of art that engages issues of weather, climate, and meteorology.
