Snug Harbor

Situated in the heart of Staten Island, Snug Harbor is a culture park: an expansive space where nature, education, history, and the arts come to life. Home to a wide array of institutions, programs, and green spaces, Snug Harbor needed a way to encapsulate its complexity without compromising its vibrancy. 2x4 collaborated with the Snug Harbor team to develop a brand strategy, architecture, and tactics in order to streamline and clarify the voice and organization of the culture park. To bring the strategy to life, 2x4 developed a new visual identity and system with the flexibility to represent all aspects of the culture park, complemented by a palette of playful, surprising colors and a set of custom icons to help guide audiences through the activities on offer. The result is a more cohesive, joyful, and clear expression of a Staten Island icon for all to discover and enjoy.
