Before the Beginning and After the End: Goshka Macuga edited by Mario Mainetti for Fondazione Prada serves as a conceptual atlas of the Macuga’s work to date. A nontraditional monograph that seeks to map the artist’s mind, the book is highly diagrammatic and infographic based. We worked closely with the artist and Fondazione Prada to develop the concept design and layout of the book. Throughout examinations of Macuga’s projects from 1993-2016, the book references the artist’s influences and examines the linkages in her work through her career as an artist.
