2x4 partnered with curator Germano Celant and KAWS to create KAWS: ALONG THE WAY, a private collection exhibition on display from March – April 2019 in the Qube at PMQ (Former Police Married Quarters). For the exhibition plan, 2x4 employed a simple organizing gesture: XX. The paintings and sculptures resided in one of the six perimeter wedges. At the core of the exhibition parallel mirrored surfaces dematerialized the gallery walls to reveal an infinite sculptural landscape of KAWS characters. 2x4 also translated the XX spatial theme into a branded graphic identity, complete with a catalogue, exterior graphics, signage and wayfinding elements, art labels, and an urban advertising campaign.
