The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts project is a multi-year collaboration with architects Diller Scofidio+Renfro. The project entails the renovation of the entire Lincoln Center campus, the Juilliard School, Alice Tully Hall, a new restaurant building, new public spaces, new entry stairs and the development of a systematic identity and design system. We deployed the theme of “White, Light, Transparent” as a recognizable connective tissue for all the public spaces, and to unify the many venues and elements that make up the complex. The “White Light” theme links the identity and signage system and is integral to the architecture and materials, the comprehensive campus wayfinding system, digital displays, large-scale building façade graphics, maps, and donor recognition.
