Prada’s multiple social media accounts continuously expand the reach and depth of the Prada brand, often informing its physical activations as well. Through an ongoing close collaboration with Prada, we design strategies and content series intended to inform and engage an audience of millions, sometimes as extensions of existing projects and sometimes as fully developed new concepts. Fashion seasons are fast, but social media trends are faster, immediately conveying the interests of current and future customers. The challenge for a fashion label integrating their work with these platforms becomes one concerning the blurriness of identity in the face of demand. Through continuous dialogue with Prada, we approach social media strategy as an opportunity for collaborative, alternative forms of expression derived from a singular, if multifaceted, voice.
